The full name of Pakistan is the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which means "holy land" and "halal state".
More than 95% of the residents believe in Islam, which is a multi-ethnic Islamic country. The national language is Urdu.
Pakistan is located in the northwest of the South Asian subcontinent, bordering on the Arabian Sea in the south, India in the East, the people's Republic of China in the northeast, Afghanistan in the northwest and Iran in the West. The coastline is 980 kilometers long. The southern part has a tropical climate and the rest belongs to subtropical climate. The capital is Islamabad, the former capital Karachi is the largest city.

The Himalayas, Karakoram mountains and Hindu Kush mountains, three famous mountains in the world, converge in northwest Pakistan, forming a unique landscape. The Indus River, which originates from China, enters Pakistan territory, runs 2300 kilometers from north to south, and finally flows into the Arabian Sea.
